Les Effacés sont à côté des « clandestins » et des migrants, des citoyens slovènes qui ont perdu toute identité. Parce qu’elles sont d’origine non slovène et n’avaient pas fait les démarches pour obtenir la nationalité slovène après l’indépendance en 1991, 18305 personnes (soit 1% des Slovènes) ont été effacées le 26 février 1992 du registre national slovène dit de « résidence permanente » (données informatiques effacées, fichiers papier passés à la broyeuse). The erased inhabitants of Slovenia salute all migrants, asylum seekers, refuggees, sans-papiers and all those, that fight with us!
Today, on the 26th of February 2005, we have the 13th anniversary of the unconstitutional erasure of 18305 people from the Register of permanent residence of Slovenia.
We, the erased, have been fihgting for 13 years on the individual level, untill we realised, that only common struggle can help in the fight for justice, in the fight for the relationship (...)

Our action is a logic consequence of the illegal acts of the employees on the Ministry of Inner Affairs in 1992. They have - in the name of the people and without informing the people - erased people from their own family households. They have even been paid for their acts. Our main goal is not to bring disrepute to the Slovene state, but simultaneously we affirm: we do not want to be any longer a hostage of anyones reputation, because life is not eternal. On February 26, 1992, Slovene Government, the Ministry of Inner affairs, have illegally erased 18,305 people from the Register of Permanent Residence of The Republic of Slovenia. Our basic existential status has been taken away from us without any law, legal act or notification. The act of erasure had as its consequence massive violations of human rights.
